The Guild hosts record-breaking 2026 conference and awards ceremony
The Guild of Property Professionals returned to Westminster on Friday 6th February, welcoming Members to the QEII Centre for its annual Conference and Awards Ceremony. This year’s event saw record-breaking attendance, reflecting the continued importance independent agents place on collaboration, professional support and the strength of a connected national network.
Under the theme Ignite, agents from across the UK came together for a day focused on networking, shared insight and professional development, alongside the celebration of excellence across the Guild network.

Opening the conference, CEO of The Guild, Iain McKenzie, addressed Members on the year ahead and outlined how the organisation will continue to support independent agents through compliance guidance, training and expert support. He noted that the record attendance demonstrated the relevance of a collaborative approach in an increasingly complex operating environment.
McKenzie commented: “Our Members value being part of a network that provides not just insight and tools, but genuine professional support. This conference demonstrated the importance of partnership in helping agents navigate change and build sustainable businesses.”

The agenda explored themes including leadership, communication, innovation and performance, with sessions designed to support business resilience and long-term growth. Speakers including Nigel Risner, Ben Madden, Dr Robbie Anderson, Paul Offley, Tanya Pearson and Maria Redfearn, shared practical insight and actionable guidance, with discussion throughout the day firmly focused on real-world application and learning from shared experience across the network.
Reflecting on the value of the conference, Peter Lawrence of Lawrence Rand said it was “inspiring to be surrounded by so many like-minded independent agents, all focused on raising standards and pushing the industry forward,” adding that the ideas shared would have “a real impact on how we continue to grow and improve.”
Daniel Henry of Bensons also highlighted the immediate benefit for businesses, commenting that the event “truly ignited enthusiasm for returning to the office,” with new ideas to share with teams that would help improve working practices.
The day concluded with a highly anticipated Awards Ceremony, hosted by ITV News presenter Charlotte Hawkins, celebrating excellence, professionalism and service across the Guild network. In total, 45 awards were presented, recognising high-achieving independent agents for their commitment, standards and contribution to the industry.

Commenting on the awards, McKenzie said: “The Guild Awards are an important opportunity to recognise the outstanding professionalism, service and commitment demonstrated by our Members. This year’s winners represent the very best of independent agency, setting benchmarks for quality, integrity and customer care across the sector.”
The Guild’s 2026 Annual Conference and Awards Ceremony once again served as a key industry gathering for independent agents, reinforcing the organisation’s role in supporting professionalism, collaboration and best practice across the UK property sector.
